Mossing School of Music Marching Band
[Marching and performing in the Hats Off! Parade]

The Mossing School of Music Marching Band is part of Regina’s Mossing School of Music. It is a
non-profit charitable organization formed in 2005 to provide music education through regular
participation in a Concert Band, Marching Band and other related groups within the program. It
believes that every child should have the opportunity to learn to play music and participate in
a band program; being involved in a music program gives the students a chance to learn music,
develop life and time management skills, and teaches them commitment and dedication. They perform
at festivals and in parades throughout Canada and the Northern US.
Robert Mossing, the band director, is a member of the Order of Canada for his outstanding contributions as
a music educator and leader. He has been involved in bands for 62 years.
“A march played by a real band, should make a man with a wooden leg step out."
-John Philip Sousa
