Cathedral Village Arts Festival Showcase: A word from the Music Director

There were so many amazing applicants this year to the Arts Festival it was hard to situate all the talent!

We have everything from French (Francois Tremblay), and Celtic (Karley and Alex), to Latin (Ben Winoski Project), to keep your cultural interests peaked.

We are also hosting a few local talents that have just released albums and we are excited to have Poor Nameless Boy and Coldest Night of the Year share those new creations on our stages.

The Lazy Mk's have a special evening this year with an additional section of sound coming your way! Is it strings? Horns? With the attention the MKs already bring to their music any additions are surely to solidify a night out well spent. Not to mention, Keiffer Mclean is the opener of this show. Let's admit this will be a well-attended night.

We had Megan Nash in the past and this year she is returning as Panda Corn -- a new MooseJaw Project!

The legendary Regina talent of Jeff Straker will return to remind the CVAF hearts of its "Roots and Wings"

As the Music Director, I am especially excited to see the eclectic set at our Cathedral Neighborhood Center throughout the Saturday Day. It will have everything from solo to band performances, Celtic to Rock to Dance. And a few more 'Gems' that were new to my ear and caught my attention were Hello Lady, Piper and the Gates of Dawn and Grain Report.

It is a full list of projects that will bring in a multitude of diverse listeners of all ages and I am happy that no matter where I drop a project's name that is playing with us it is met with excitement.

So here's to you Regina!

Enjoy,
Michelle
