holophon is a Saskatchewan-based audio art organization dedicated to increasing public awareness around sound-art and electroacoustic composition as well as providing opportunities for local sound-based artists to expand their practices and present their work. holophon is a non-profit, volunteer-driven, artist-run organization currently in its third year of programming. Since 2008 holophon has organized events in Regina and Saskatoon in a variety of venues, including a brewpub, a legion hall, a black-box theater, and several art galleries. Each of their shows has a unique artistic theme, and is organized by a curator who has involvement and experience in a specific cultural or artistic community, facilitating further collaboration with artists and organizations across a wide range of artistic practices.

They are an enthusiastic and creative audio arts organization that looks for ways to unite all artists under the umbrella of "sound". Their goals are to encourage the creation of artwork that uses sound as an integral component, to further discussions around listening, and the development of sound-based artistic practices within the prairies. They are looking for ways to enhance the arts community within Saskatchewan, but also want to be a venue for the promotion and contextualization of Saskatchewan-generated audio art on a national scale. holophon aims to unite artistic, geographical and cultural communities through sound.

All ages welcome to join in the walk.
